Amanda Knox is engaged to boyfriend Christopher Robinson after space alien proposal  1 Month ago

Amanda Knox is engaged to her longtime boyfriend Christopher Robinson.

The criminal justice advocate who was sensationally and wrongfully convicted for the 2007 murder of her college roommate in Italy, announced the news Friday.

A gleeful Knox, 31, revealed Robinson's elaborate, alien-themed proposal —and her emotional acceptance — on her Instagram and with an edited YouTube video.

The nerdy proposal, filmed by poet and author Robinson, showed he had decked out the yard in eerie lights with a smoking fake-meteorite containing a special tablet — as Knox read the tablet and the "E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial" soundtrack played in the background.

"I don’t have a ring, but I do have a big rock. Will you stay with me until the last star in the last galaxy burns out. And then even after that," said Robinson. "Amanda Marie Knox, will you marry me?"

"Yeah, Yes I will," said Knox, who was so unsuspecting that she was wearing "Harry Potter" pajamas.

The couple then embraced.

"This is so cool," Knox said during a break in their filmed kissing.

Robinson said in an a post-production note that the proposal "insanity" was a year in the making. He also explained why there was no ring.

"For the record, Amanda doesn't wear rings," he wrote.

Knox, at age 20, spent four years in an Italian prison after being convicted twice for the brutal 2007 murder of her 21-year-old English college roommate Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy, where they were both studying.

Italy’s highest court eventually exonerated her in 2015 and Knox returned to her hometown of Seattle, Wash. to rebuild her life.
